Residents of Pinckneyville, Illinois are looking out for two men driving around in a white van pretending to be animal control officers. The dognappers scope out neighborhoods during the day, then come back at night when owners aren’t home to steal dogs, even out of fenced-in yards. These fake animal control officers are mostly targeting purebred dogs because they can be sold for a high price.
