Basset Bleu de Gascogne Pictures, Characteristics, and Facts

The Basset Bleu de Gascogne has a short, soft coat that requires brushing every week. Like most shorthaired dogs, they shed a fair bit. Brushing helps to minimize shedding. These dogs are black and white with a spotted appearance. They also have tan markings, typically on the neck, snout, and feet. Their coat can be greasy and may require semi-frequent bathing using an anti-fungal shampoo to avoid odor.
