Alberto Nunez-Arias, a 75-year-old Florida dog breeder, is facing allegations of using puppies to expose himself to children, WPTV reports. He was charged with one count of lewd and lascivious exhibition for exposing himself to an 11-year-old girl. The incident took place last year after the girl’s puppy, bought from Nunez-Arias, escaped and ran back to his residence. The child followed, where Nunez-Arias allegedly sexually assaulting the girl.
Man lured girl into bedroom using puppy
According to the investigators, as the girl searched for her dog, Nunez-Arias told her the canine “was in his bedroom playing with the other dogs and she could go get it.” He then proceeded to expose himself and asked her to touch “his disgusting body part.”
The girl managed to get away, but Nunez-Arias threatened to kill her father if she told anyone about what happened. She kept it a secret for over a year. According to Chief Deputy John Budensiek, a church employee noticed the girl “acting a little bit different” during class about human trafficking. The authorities were immediately contacted. Nunez-Arias initially denied the allegations but later said he was drunk and his pants might have accidentally fallen down.
At his home, officers found 28 animals — including 14 dogs — currently in the care of the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast. Budensiek sated the animals were “surprisingly” not in “poor shape” considering living conditions in a house with no electricity.
“Psychopathic pervert”
According to the officer, Nunez-Arias used his pets to lure other children into his home, and described him as “a psychopathic pervert.”
“We’ve had some verbal information that there are other victims out there. And we really are trying to reach out to the … Spanish community, to get them to come forward and allow us to do our job,” Budensiek added.
